The Lapidarium – Prague Exhibition Grounds
This landmark at the Prague Exhibition Grounds has recently undergone an extensive exterior reconstruction, divided into two main stages. While the interior renovation is planned for a following phase, the first stage focused on the reconstruction of roof trusses and cladding, including large-scale skylights. This stage also involved the repair of the building’s towers and the restoration of sculptural and decorative ornamentation above the cornice—reliefs, vases, and statues—in accordance with heritage restoration documentation.
The second stage included substructure remediation and waterproofing, facade repairs and the restoration of plasters and reliefs on the western wall, which depict significant figures and events in Czech history. Furthermore, the refurbishment and production of replicas for facade openings were carried out. The final works also included landscaping of the immediate surroundings and the renovation of access paths.
The interior spaces remained untouched during this project. On this contract, we provided Technical supervision and Health & safety coordination.
